Michelangelo’s drawing to be auctioned
Christie’s auction house will put up for auction on 5 February next year a previously unknown drawing by the Italian Renaissance artist Michelangelo.
The drawing was created for the fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, CE Report quotes STA.
This is the first known study for the Sistine Chapel ceiling to ever be offered at auction.
It is valued between 1.5 and 2 million dollars, or between 1.3 and 1.7 million euros.
