Bulgarian artists to present joint exhibition in Sofia

Painters Velin Dinev and Bogdan Bogdanov will present their first joint exhibition at Serdika Art Gallery in Sofia. The exhibition, entitled "Intertwining" and curated by Diana Draganova-Stier, will be on display from November 25 to December 13, the gallery team said.

The exhibition brings together two generations of artists who are appearing together in public for the first time. Velin Dinev was born in Nova Zagora (Southeastern Bulgaria) in 1938. He graduated from the National Academy of Arts, majoring in Textiles in 1970 under Prof. Marin Varbanov, CE Report quotes BTA.

Over the years, he has participated in numerous joint exhibitions in Bucharest, Berlin, Budapest, Paris, and London. He lives and works in Sliven (Southeastern Bulgaria), but his paintings are owned by collectors from Germany, the USA, France, England, Austria, China, and Russia.

Bogdan Bogdanov, born in 2000, graduated from the Dimitar Dobrovich National Art High School, majoring in Artistic Textiles. He obtained a Bachelor's degree from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, in the Department of Textile Art and Design, and a Master's degree in the Department of Painting. He has participated in several national exhibitions and competitions. In his paintings, he experiments with different formats, techniques, and materials.
