Romania, Tunisia sign cultural cooperation programme
Romanian Culture Minister Andras Demeter is on an official visit to Tunisia, where he signed a cultural cooperation programme with Tunisian counterpart Amina Srarfi.
The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral cultural relations and expand collaboration in heritage, performing arts, cinema, visual arts, music, academic exchanges, and cooperation between cultural institutions, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
It promotes artist mobility, participation in festivals, joint heritage projects, film co-productions, exhibitions, educational initiatives, literature, and library cooperation.
Demeter emphasized shared priorities like heritage, cultural education, and youth support, while Srarfi highlighted the strong ties between Romanian and Tunisian culture and welcomed further collaboration.
During the visit, Demeter met actors from the National Theatre of Tunis, professors and students from the Institute of Dramatic Arts, and visited key cultural sites including Cité de la Culture, Palais Dar Nejma Ezzahra, and Sidi Bou Said.
He also invited the Tunisian minister to visit Romania to continue strengthening cultural relations.
