Netflix unveils release date for Frankenstein

The highly anticipated new film by Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro, Frankenstein, has unveiled its official trailer and poster, revealing the creature at the center of the story, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Premiering in competition at the 82nd Venice Film Festival, the film stars Oscar Isaac as the creator and Jacob Elordi as the creature. The cast also features Christoph Waltz, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Charles Dance, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, and Christian Convery.

The film will debut in select theaters starting October 22, and will be released globally on Netflix from November 7.

In this adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic tale, del Toro reimagines the story of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment — one that leads to the downfall of both the creator and his tragic creation.
