Health scare for Dolly Parton: the 79-year-old singer of Jolene has been forced to cancel a series of concerts at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas due to undergoing several medical procedures, CE Report quotes ANSA.

"The doctors tell me I need to have a few procedures," Dolly wrote on Instagram.

She joked about it, comparing herself to a car, saying she told her doctors she wants to be in shape again for her 100,000-mile checkup.

The six concert dates have been postponed to September 2026.

The singer did not disclose the nature of the procedures, but clarified that “it won’t be the usual visit to the plastic surgeon.”

Dolly has had a difficult year: in March, her husband Carl Dean died at the age of 82. He had been her life partner for six decades. Carl, who ran a paving company, had always stayed out of the spotlight and was the unintentional inspiration for Jolene, the song that turned Dolly into a music superstar.
