Montenegrin artist presents “The Love Phenomenon” in Skopje

An exhibition of paintings by Montenegrin artist Ivan Đurišić, titled "The Love Phenomenon: Through the Cracks of Reality," opens at 8 pm at the Cultural and Information Center in Skopje, North Macedonia, and runs through Oct. 12.

According to organizers, Đurišić's paintings are deeply metaphorical, associative and symbolic, CE Report quotes MIA.

In his latest works, inspired by love as a universal human phenomenon, the artist invites viewers to step "through the cracks of reality" and experience "a different understanding of emotions, relationships, memory and existence."

This is his first art show in Skopje. It will also be on display in Novi Sad, Serbia, and Košice, Slovakia.

Ivan Đurišić (b. 1977, Podgorica) graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje in 2004, studying under Dragan Karadžić, and completed his master's in 2010 under the mentorship of Ratko Odalović. His career spans more than 20 years of solo and group exhibitions both in Montenegro and abroad. His distinct style blends fantastic art, surrealism and associative abstraction.

"The Love Phenomenon" was organized with support from the Ministry of Culture and Media of Montenegro, the Culture Secretariat of the Capital City of Podgorica, the City of Skopje and the Embassy of Montenegro.
