Prince Harry Meets King Charles Privately in London
Prince Harry and King Charles III met privately for tea at the King’s private residence — their first one-on-one meeting in 19 months, Buckingham Palace officials have confirmed.
Their relationship has been strained since Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California to pursue media ventures and charitable work, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
Speculation about a possible reunion had been circulating even before Harry was seen arriving at Clarence House on Wednesday evening.
He reportedly stayed less than an hour before leaving in a Range Rover, according to Sky News.
Currently in the UK for the WellChild Awards, a charity he supports that helps seriously ill children and their caregivers, Harry’s first stop earlier this week was his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s grave in Windsor, where he laid flowers.
In a May interview with the BBC, Harry stated that his father had refused to speak with him due to security concerns.
However, he expressed a desire to reconcile with the royal family, saying:
“It makes no sense to keep fighting with people.”
