Actress Mila Kunis spoke openly about working with her co-star Daniel Craig in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, she recalled Craig and director Rian Johnson fostering an environment where actors prioritized respect, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Kunis admitted she wasn’t sure how to handle Craig’s mystery at first. She noted that working on this film was somewhat unfamiliar for her, even though she “had the pleasure of working with Craig’s wife,” Rachel Weisz, in Oz the Great and Powerful (2013).

Kunis (42) felt at ease knowing that Weisz (55) is “such a wonderful person that I thought, ‘There’s no way Daniel won’t also be a wonderful person to work with.’” Her hypothesis was tested on “day one,” as her first two weeks on Wake Up Dead Man were with Craig (57), and “her character is very connected to his character,” detective Benoit Blanc.

“This could go either way,” Kunis recalled. “This will either be a truly wonderful production, or we’ll be in our bubbles, and everything will go well.”

“But luckily, I would say that within the first two hours, Daniel set the best tone not just for the cast but for the crew as well,” Kunis told People/EW and Shutterstock.

The former James Bond actor, during the film’s world premiere at TIFF on Saturday, reflected on Johnson’s third mystery film, speaking enthusiastically about his character in particular: How lucky am I to play something like this?

When asked if Wake Up Dead Man would mark the end of his portrayal of the iconic character, Daniel Craig said he doesn’t know at the moment, but if Rian (51) writes another script and it’s as good as he thinks, then he would easily make the decision.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery is scheduled to hit cinemas on November 26.
