Festival Poster Celebrates Galichica’s Butterflies

The 37th Velestovo Poetry Night festival will feature sixteen poets, musicians, and artists from six countries, including Ireland, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria and our country, CE Report quotes MIA.

The festival’s programme starts Friday at 9 pm in Velestovo with a poetic portrait of Andrej Al-Asadi, one of the most prominent contemporary Macedonian poets, and continues with the international poetry reading “Imago.”

An exhibition by academic painter Stefan Mladenovski will be opened as well. The next two days will feature a series of international poetry readings in Velestovo and Ohrid, reads the press release.

“Out of 200 butterfly species found in Macedonia, 166 inhabit Galichica National Park. For this reason, the poster for this year’s edition is dedicated to Galichica’s butterflies. Let us join efforts to protect them and preserve their beauty for the future. The poster was created by Andrej Pavlov,” the press release states.
