
Valdobrev Launches "Acoustics of Bulgaria" Project
Actor and musician Stefan Valdobrev has launched a new project titled The Acoustics of Bulgaria, starting with recordings and filming in Varna, he announced at a BTA press conference on Thursday, CE Report quotes BTA
Together with his band The Usual Suspects, Valdobrev will visit 25 locations across the country to record music, ambient sounds, and film a documentary capturing the spirit of each place. The first sites include Solnitsata, Ovech Fortress, the Roman Baths in Varna, the Balchik Palace, and the Tekke in Obrochishte.
The project will result in a double album and a photo book with original texts. “I want the songs to be personal and genuine,” Valdobrev said.
He is joined by musicians Ivan Lechev, Miroslav Ivanov, Stoyan Yankoulov-Stundji, Veselin Veselinov-Eko, sound engineer Dimitar Ganchev, and cinematographers Krum Rodriguez and Veselin Hristov. The project is backed by the Ministry of Culture, BTA, and BG Radio.
