Bulgaria’s Ministry of Culture has started using the Bulgarian News Agency’s LIK typeface in its official correspondence, press releases, and upcoming website redesign. The custom-made font, created by the National Academy of Arts and registered with the Patent Office, was obtained from BTA earlier in July, CE Report quotes BTA

BTA Director General Kiril Valchev emphasized that the typeface, rooted in Bulgarian script traditions and marking the 1170th anniversary of the Glagolitic alphabet, is offered free of charge to public institutions. It is already in use by several state bodies and academic institutions.

Culture Minister Marian Bachev praised the font’s aesthetic and cultural value, saying it reflects a commitment to unified and meaningful written communication.
