The opening ceremony took place in front of the local cultural centre, where awards were presented to winners in competitions for poetry, prose, singing, dance, and applied arts.

Among the guests were MP Tatyana Sultanova and Sliven Municipal Council Chair Dimitar Mitev. Sultanova praised the dedication of local growers, calling Gavrailovo “the heart of the Peach Valley.” Mitev emphasized the community’s resilience and unity in supporting agriculture despite recent challenges.

Mayor Tenyo Bozhekov highlighted the continued production of top-quality peaches thanks to the hard work of local farmers.

The festival is held under the patronage of the Minister of Agriculture and is organized by local and regional authorities, cultural institutions, and producer associations.
