"The Art of Collecting Time" Opens in Sofia

The Palace, home to Sofia’s National Art Gallery, has opened The Art of Collecting Time, a contemporary exhibition centered around a major donation by Swiss diplomat and art patron Gaudenz B. Ruf. The show features works by 12 Bulgarian artists and nine from Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia. It runs until October 5, CE Report quotes BTA

Ivan Milev, Deputy Director of the National Gallery, praised Ruf’s gesture as a significant contribution to Balkan contemporary art. Maria Vassileva, representing Ruf, called the National Gallery a fitting home for the collection, highlighting Ruf’s legacy as a long-time supporter of Bulgarian art and founder of the Gaudenz B. Ruf Award.
