Ana Schnabl won the annual Kresnik Award for the best novel of the year with her third novel, September.
The book is a coming-of-age story that explores themes of domestic violence, friendship, and writing, CE Report quotes STA.
It was selected from a shortlist of five books, mostly written by established authors.
The award recognizes outstanding achievement in Slovenian literature.
