Latvia's Gundega Šmite won the 71st International Rostrum of Composers.

This competition promotes contemporary music through radio broadcasts.

It was held this year in Ljubljana for the first time, CE Report quotes STA.

Czech composer Daria Kukal Moiseeva received the main prize in the up-and-coming category.
