Timisoara Hosts First Football Film Fest

Culture

The Druckeria Association of Timisoara Supporters is launching the first edition of the Timisoara Football Film Festival (TMFF) this November — the first event of its kind in Romania and Eastern Europe, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The festival will be held over four days in the city’s newly renovated cinemas, including Cinema Timis, Studio, and Victoria. Cinema Johnny may be added if renovations are completed in time.

TMFF will showcase documentaries and feature films exploring themes of identity, community, fan culture, and the powerful connection between football clubs and their cities. The program will also include guest speakers, debates, workshops, and a short film competition.

The festival is part of the "Timisoara - Cinema Objective 2025" initiative and is supported by local and national partners such as the Politehnica University of Timisoara, the Romanian Football Federation, and TVR Timisoara. Organisers are also collaborating with the creators of the Thinking Football festival in Bilbao to develop an international partnership.

Druckeria, the supporter group behind the event, has been promoting grassroots football and community projects in Timisoara for over 15 years.
