Visitors can explore 27 panels featuring photographs, documents, and correspondence that highlight the challenges engineers and builders faced in erecting the monument on Shipka Peak (formerly St. Nicholas Peak). The display also traces its history up to its grand opening.

The idea for the monument was first proposed in 1879 by MPs Petko Slaveykov and Stefan Beron, with the final decision made in 1920. Construction began in 1922 and was completed in 1930. The monument was officially inaugurated on August 26, 1934, by Boris III.

This exhibition is a collaboration between the Shipka-Buzludzha National Park-Museum, the National Museum of Military History, the Targovishte State Archives, and the Kazanlak Art Gallery. It will be open to visitors until May 5.
