Skopje introduces nighttime waste disposal restrictions
The decision banning the disposal of waste across the City of Skopje, North Macedonia, between 10 pm and 6 am enters into force on Monday.
The City of Skopje has said that inspectors would be deployed in the nighttime hours to conduct controls, with fines ranging from EUR 50 for individuals, EUR 1,300-1,800 for legal entities, or even higher depending on the waste that is being disposed, CE Report quotes MIA.
Public enterprise "Communal Hygiene" has said the measure is primarily aimed at controlling legal entities, which "have consistently disposed their waste in the nighttime period".
