This is a programme expected to launch immediately after Easter and aimed primarily at new mothers, as “social policy in action," CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

“The programme’s beneficiaries are working mothers, biological, adoptive, or foster,in the public and private sectors, as well as freelancers and the self-employed. For the first time, student mothers are also eligible, receiving 300 euros, while unemployed women registered with the Public Employment Service (DYPA) can receive a 300 euros voucher for up to three months. Fathers may also join the programme if they have sole custody, as well as any person granted sole custody of a child by court order. Eligibility is subject to specific income criteria and financial assistance, effectively enhancing access to childcare services. As for the possibility of becoming a carer, the programme sets clear and high-quality requirements,” Rapti said.

Rapti also referred to the ministry’s ''Diversity Seal" initiative, which aims "to effectively promote equality, inclusion, and equal treatment in the workplace".

She spoke about violence against women and the protective measures that have been taken, as well as the launch of a digital platform to combat racism and discrimination. She also highlighted a new campaign regarding the so-called "date rape drug".

Rapti expressed satisfaction with the first 40 apartments provided to vulnerable households in Thessaloniki as part of the Social Housing Programme, in collaboration with the municipality.
