Jobs fall across most sectors in Croatia
In December 2025, the total number of persons in employment in the Republic of Croatia was 1 717 302, out of which 804 697 were women. Compared to November 2025, the total number of persons in employment decreased by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 0.3%.
Compared to the same month of the previous year, the total number of persons in employment decreased in December 2025 by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 0.6%, CE Report informs via the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
In December 2025, the total number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia amounted to 1 487 287, out of which 710 087 were women. Compared to November 2025, the number of persons in paid employment in legal entities decreased by 1.0% and the number of employed women by 0.2%. The number of persons in paid employment in legal entities in December 2025, as compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 1.4%, while the number of employed women decreased by 0.8%.
The total number of unemployed persons increased by 1.9% and the number of unemployed women by 1.6% in December 2025, as compared to November 2025. The total registered unemployment rate in December 2025 was 4.6% and for women it was 5.2%.
