Albanian economy shows positive performance

The economy of Albania continued to maintain positive growth rates in the third quarter of 2025.

According to the report from the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in real terms increased by 3.75% compared to the same period last year, CE Report quotes ATA.

The primary contributors to this growth were the public administration, education, and healthcare sectors, which saw an annual increase of over 15%, as well as the real estate, information, and communication sectors, which grew by more than 10%.

Growth was also recorded in sectors like construction, trade, transportation, accommodation, and food services, as well as in professional, financial, and administrative services.

Conversely, the industry, energy, and water sectors, along with agriculture, forestry, and fishing, experienced a decline.

On the expenditure side, household consumption increased by 1.25%, government consumption rose by 7.72%, while investments grew by 4.78%. Exports of goods and services saw a significant increase of over 12%.

According to seasonally adjusted estimates, GDP grew by 1.09% compared to the previous quarter, with increases in most service activities, finance, and public administration. However, industry, construction, and agriculture suffered a decline.

The average economic growth for the first nine months of 2025 is estimated at 3.73%, reflecting a steady and positive performance of the Albanian economy.
