BMW says goodbye to Z4
BMW is saying goodbye to the Z4. The company has confirmed that production of the long-standing roadster is ending, and the final units will come in a special “Final Edition” series.
This limited version is based on the Z4 M40i and arrives with a higher price tag, CE Report quotes MIA.
The Final Edition is offered in a single configuration, and the only choice buyers can make is the transmission: an eight-speed automatic or a six-speed manual. Power remains unchanged. The 3.0-liter turbocharged B58 inline-six engine produces 382 horsepower. The car sits on 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels.
All other details are fixed for every unit. Each Final Edition comes in matte black paint and includes the black trim package, black grilles, and black mirrors. It also features a black soft-top roof and red brake calipers.
Inside, it gets red stitching on the dashboard, doors, and seats. The M Sport seats are upholstered in leather and Alcantara, and special door sills indicate that this is the Final Edition. Standard equipment includes the driver assistance package, Harman Kardon audio system, and the Premium package with ambient lighting and additional features.
Pricing has not yet been confirmed. Production will run from late January to March next year, and the number of units will be very limited.
