
Greece Reports €4.6B Budget Surplus
Greece recorded a primary budget surplus of €4.6 billion on a cash basis between January and May 2025, according to data from the Bank of Greece, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia
The central administration also reported a cash surplus of €1.327 billion, reversing a deficit of €537 million in the same period last year.
This improvement was driven by higher regular budget revenues, which rose to €27.093 billion from €25.272 billion in 2024. Meanwhile, expenditures increased to €24.983 billion, up from €23.676 billion a year earlier.
