Business

The French luxury fashion brand “Dior” has been hit by a cyberattack aimed at accessing customer data, the company confirmed today.

The extent of the breach remains unclear, but a message regarding the cyberattack was posted on the company’s official website in South Korea, CE Report quotes ATA.

According to the message posted on Dior’s Korean site, the company announced the breach on May 7 and stated that contact information, purchase data, and preference data were among the information compromised by the hackers.

The incident comes after a number of retail brands in the UK, including Marks & Spencer and Co-op, were targeted by hackers.

“The fashion house ‘Dior’ recently announced that an unauthorized third party had accessed some of its customer data.

“The Dior teams – supported by leading cybersecurity experts – are continuing investigations into the incident. We have notified all relevant regulatory authorities,” the company said.
