Zhang Yiming, the founder of ByteDance and owner of TikTok, has become the richest person in China, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. As of Thursday, Zhang ranks 24th globally with a net worth of $57.5 billion, though Forbes estimates it at $65.5 billion, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Yiming, 42, founded ByteDance in 2012, and the company, valued at over $400 billion as of January 2025, owns popular apps like TikTok, CapCut, Xigua Video, and Douyin.
