Kosovo Rolls Out Historic €5M Business Support

The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade (MINT) invites Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to apply through the E-Kosova platform for the purchase of advanced manufacturing and processing machinery, worth five million euros, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

In a press conference, the acting Minister of Industry, Rozeta Hajdari, said that the purpose of the grant scheme for the purchase of machinery is to help MSMEs contribute to the growth of production and processing, through the expansion of their capacities.

Acting Minister Rozeta Hajdari has explained how this grant is divided into three categories.

"The total amount of this grant scheme is 5 million euros but divided into three categories. In the first category we have a budget of two million euros that is dedicated to micro enterprises, up to nine employees and that can benefit from a maximum value of up to 40 thousand euros in grant. In the second category we have a budget of 2.5 million euros that is for small enterprises, with ten to 49 employees and can benefit from a maximum value of up to 30 thousand euros in grant. The third category has a slightly more modest budget, which is worth 500 thousand euros, is dedicated to medium-sized enterprises with 50 to 249 employees, they can benefit from 120 thousand euros", added Hajdari.

Hajdari emphasized that in 2021 the value of this grant was 500 thousand euros, while today it is 5 million euros.
