Approximately 12,000 Turkish companies exported to Bulgaria in 2024, according to Turkish Exporters Assembly President Mustafa Gultepe, speaking at the first-ever event in Bulgaria organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) in partnership with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and BULTISAD, with support from the Turkish Embassy’s trade advisor in Sofia, CE Report quotes BTA

Gultepe highlighted the growing trend of Turkish exports to Bulgaria over the past decade, with exports in 2024 reaching USD 5.2 billion. He emphasized the importance of ensuring stability in bilateral trade. Bulgaria, strategically located as a trade hub connecting Europe, the Danube Basin, and Black Sea ports, plays a crucial role in global trade.

BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov noted that Turkey is one of Bulgaria’s key trading partners, with over 2,500 Turkish companies registered in Bulgaria. BULTISAD’s Burhan Nemutlu added that Turkey is Bulgaria's second-largest importer, with a 13.7% increase in Turkish exports in 2024.

The forum underscored the strong trade ties between the two countries, with Turkish exports to Bulgaria seeing a 22% growth in 2024.
