Moldova and China Sign Protocol for Grape and Sunflower Seed Flour Exports

Chișinău, Moldova – The Director-General of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), Radu Musteața, and China's Ambassador to Moldova, Yan Wenbin, signed a protocol today on sanitary and phytosanitary requirements for exporting grape and sunflower seed flour from Moldova to China. The signing took place in the presence of Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Ludmila Catlabuga, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The agreement follows extensive negotiations between the two countries, ensuring access to the Chinese market for these Moldovan products.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement, which marks another important step in diversifying Moldovan exports. The Chinese market offers immense opportunities for our producers, and this protocol confirms the strength of our national food safety system,” said Musteața.

Ambassador Yan Wenbin emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating that China welcomes further cooperation with Moldovan agri-food operators.

Minister Catlabuga praised the achievement, encouraging Moldovan producers to meet international standards to expand into major global markets.
