Moldova's Natural Gas Consumption Drops by 12.3% in January 2025

Moldova's natural gas consumption in January 2025 decreased by 12.3% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 135.5 million cubic meters, according to Moldovagaz, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

As of January 31, household consumers had paid 97.9% of their billed amounts, while non-household consumers reached a 98.5% payment rate. Enterprises in the energy and thermal sector fully covered their bills.

The overall payment level for gas consumption in 2024 stood at 98.8%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the previous year, amounting to 10.517 billion lei.

Additionally, 317 consumption units were disconnected due to outstanding debts totaling approximately 1.254 million lei.
