The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) will begin tax audits on all those who in 2021 declared family incomes of up to 10,000 euros. This concerns about 3.8 million taxpayers, who will be subject to electronic cross-checking of their accounts as AADE officials consider that these conceal a still unknown number of cases of extensive tax evasion.
