Bulgaria’s May Gas Price Set for 14% Cut

Bulgaria

The price of BGN 64.95 per MWh for natural gas in May, proposed by state-owned supplier Bulgargaz, is expected to be confirmed with little change by the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC). This would mark a nearly 14% decrease compared to April, CE Report quotes BTA

Bulgargaz Executive Director Veselin Sinabov announced the forecast during an open-door EWRC meeting on Monday, noting no objections to the commission’s working group report. Working group leader Milen Dimitrov added that there were no new developments to alter the original proposal.

EWRC Chair Plamen Mladenovski scheduled a closed-door meeting for April 30 at 3 PM to finalize the decision.
