Bulgaria and U.S. Discuss Defense Cooperation in Sofia

SOFIA – Bulgarian President Rumen Radev met with representatives from the U.S. National Defense University (NDU) on Thursday to discuss security and defense cooperation. The delegation visited as part of the CAPSTONE course, the President’s press office reported, CE Report quotes BTA

Discussions focused on modernizing military training in Bulgaria, addressing regional security challenges, and strengthening the country's defense capabilities amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. Both sides emphasized the importance of U.S.-Bulgarian defense collaboration, agreeing on the need for advanced training methods, technology transfer, and enhanced industrial cooperation.
