US President Donald Trump announced Friday that a major prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine has been completed, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

"A major prisoners swap was just completed between Russia and Ukraine. It will go into effect shortly. Congratulations to both sides on this negotiation," Trump wrote on Truth Social, hinting it "could lead to something big???"

While neither Kyiv nor Moscow has officially commented, the two sides reportedly agreed last week in Istanbul to exchange 1,000 prisoners of war each.
