Zelensky: We cannot afford war fatigue

War in Ukraine

Ukrainians cannot afford to get "tired" of the war; otherwise they may lose everything they have.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with the British TV Channel 4 News, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"When we are talking about 'fatigue,' we have to separate the following things... We cannot afford war fatigue. Otherwise, it will turn out that someone is defending the state, and the defense is not only the frontline but it is also people who work, people who have businesses, who pay taxes. You can get tired of doing this under rockets, but people continue doing their work. And all this is important, so we have no right to get tired. And if we get tired, in this sense of the word, we will lose what we have," Zelensky emphasized.

He noted that all people get tired after a working day, but the next morning they get up and go to work.

"Therefore, we can afford to be tired in the evening, but in the morning we will have to defend the state, fight for it if we want to preserve it," the President emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, the day before, Volodymyr Zelensky said that work is underway with key international partners to ensure new packages of defense support to Ukraine in its fight against the aggressor state Russia.
