Russian missiles hit apartment block, educational institution in Kryvyi Rih

On Monday, two Russian missiles struck the city of Kryvyi Rih, having killed at least one person. Ten more people requested medical assistance.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russians targeted the city with two missiles. One projectile hit a 4-storey building of the educational institution. People have likely been trapped under the rubble. The police and rescuers are working,” Klymenko wrote.

Another Russian missile smashed a section of the apartment block from floor 4 to floor 9. A fire broke out. As of 10:15 a.m., one person was reported killed, and 10 more people requested medical assistance.

According to Klymenko, rescue works are underway. The Ukrainian State Emergency Service is conducting firefighting and dismantling operations.

On the morning of July 31, 2023, explosions were heard in the city of Kryvyi Rih.
