Sarajevo hikers conquer Europe’s highest peak

A team of 13 hikers from the Mountaineering Club Gorštaci in Sarajevo traveled to Russia’s Caucasus to climb Mount Elbrus.

Elbrus is the highest peak in Europe, standing at 5,642 meters, CE Report quotes FENA.

The group camped at 3,800 meters for four days, waiting for ideal weather conditions.

The climb was challenging and tested their patience and endurance.

Ultimately, 12 out of the 13 hikers successfully reached the summit on the morning of July 18.
