Travel

Following the announcement of the national general strike across both public and private sectors, called by grassroots unions for Friday, June 20, ITA Airways has stated it is forced to cancel 34 flights, both domestic and international, CE Report quotes ANSA.

32 of the cancelled flights are scheduled for June 20, while the other two (domestic flights) were cancelled for June 19 and 21.

This information was shared on the official ITA Airways website under the “Travel Information” section, which advises all travelers holding tickets for the strike date to check their flight status before heading to the airport, either on ita-airways.com (in the “Flight Info” section) or by contacting the travel agency where they purchased the ticket.

Passengers with tickets for June 20, in the event of a cancellation or significant schedule change, can change their booking without penalty or request a refund (only if the flight is cancelled or delayed by 5 hours or more). Requests must be made by June 26, either by calling +39 06 85960020 from Italy or abroad, or by contacting the travel agency where the ticket was purchased.
