Kosovo Welcomes Nearly 7 Million Foreign Visitors in 2024

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) announces that the total number of foreign visitors who entered the territory of the Republic of Kosovo during the period January - December 2024 was six million nine hundred thirty-eight thousand two hundred twenty-seven (6 million 938 thousand 227), CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

According to ASK, the number of overnight stays was one million five hundred and twenty-two thousand (1 million 522 thousand 890), of which 45,6% were from locals and 54,3% from foreigners.

"In 2024, the number of domestic visitors increased by 4,2% compared to 2023, while domestic overnight stays decreased by (-13,2%). Meanwhile, there was an increase in foreign visitors by about 18,3%, while their overnight stays increased by 10,9% compared to the previous year," ASK reports.

Also, according to ASK, the largest number of domestic visitors is in the Pristina region with 205 visitors, while the largest number of overnight stays is in the Peja region with 405 overnight stays.

"Regarding foreign visitors, compared to the previous period (2023), there is an increase in visitors of 18,3%. In total, there were 423 foreign visitors, of which the largest number is from Albania, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, etc.," says ASK.

According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, the number of individuals who had at least 1 overnight trip, inside or outside Kosovo, was 484.
