OpenAI plans to add erotica in ChatGPT

OpenAI is planning to allow a broader range of content—including erotica—in its popular ChatGPT chatbot, as part of its effort to "treat adult users like adults," said CEO Sam Altman, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Altman stated that future versions of the chatbot will be able to behave in a more human-like way — "but only if you want it, not because we are trying to maximize usage," according to the BBC.

The move, reminiscent of Elon Musk’s xAI introducing two sexually explicit chatbots in Grok, could help OpenAI attract more paying subscribers.

It is also likely to increase pressure on lawmakers to introduce stricter regulations on chatbot companions.
