Nick Woltemade joins Juventus on loan from Newcastle United

Italian football club Juventus FC has announced the arrival of German striker Nick Woltemade, AFP reports.

After loaning Canadian striker Jonathan David to Atlético Madrid, Juventus have strengthened their attack with Nick Woltemade, who has joined on a season-long loan from English club Newcastle United, which paid €75 million, excluding bonuses, for him a year ago, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

The 1.98-meter-tall striker, who played for the German national team at the most recent World Cup, is set to join his fourth club in as many seasons, following Werder Bremen (2023-24), VfB Stuttgart (2024-25) and Newcastle (2025-26).

Juventus, who finished sixth in the Italian league last season, had previously seen star striker Dusan Vlahovic leave for Beşiktaş as a free agent. Although the team won its first two matches of the season — 1-0 at Frosinone and 2-0 against Parma — it has shown a clear lack of attacking efficiency, particularly due to the underwhelming performances of French striker Randal Kolo Muani, who joined from PSG this summer.
