The Bulgarian Tennis Federation (BTF) has secured the hosting rights for three additional ATP Challenger tournaments for men following positive feedback for the organization and conditions of the first tournament, held in June at Lokomotiv Tennis Club in Plovdiv, the Federation said on Thursday.

The first event will be an ATP Challenger 50 tournament with a prize fund of EUR 56,700, scheduled for August 2-9. A second ATP Challenger 50 tournament will follow from August 30 to September 6. The third event, an ATP Challenger 75 tournament with a prize fund of EUR 97,640, will take place from September 20 to 27, CE Report quotes BTA.

Burgas will also host a World Tennis Tour M15 tournament with a USD 15,000 prize fund at Avenue Tennis Club from October 4 to 11.

According to BTF, the main objective of organizing these tournaments is to give Bulgaria's national team players and top-ranked tennis players the opportunity to compete at a high international level, gain valuable experience and earn ATP ranking points.

The international women's calendar in Bulgaria will also remain busy through the end of the year. After successfully hosting a W50 World Tennis Tour tournament in Haskovo earlier this year, Bulgaria will stage four more W50 events, each offering a USD 40,000 prize fund and 50 WTA ranking points to the champion.

The Bulgarian Tennis Federation said hosting strong international tournaments will remain one of its key priorities next year as well.
