Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer responded to a question about his participation in the 2026 World Cup.

Neuer made several outstanding saves last night in Bayern’s 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals, CE Report quotes MIA.

“Everything has already been said. Now what matters is how the rest of the season with Bayern will go,” the goalkeeper told Sky.de.

Earlier, media reports suggested that the German national team could bring the 40-year-old goalkeeper back for the 2026 World Cup, but in autumn 2025, he announced that he had no plans to return.

Neuer made his debut for the German national team in 2009. He has played 124 matches, conceding 118 goals, and also has 51 clean sheets.

At the 2026 World Cup, Germany will play in Group E against Curaçao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador.
