The European football federation UEFA remains committed to having the planned city of Doha host the famous “Finalissima” despite the situation in the Middle East, AP reports.

The match is scheduled to be played on March 27, CE Report quotes MIA.

The match between the champions of Europe and South America is expected to be played in Doha, with UEFA and CONMEBOL serving as organizers.

The national teams of Spain and Argentina are expected to play the match at Lusail Stadium, where the 2022 World Cup final between Argentina and France was held.

UEFA stated that local organizers have made significant efforts, and if the match cannot be played in Doha, a city in Europe will most likely host the event.

The first “Finalissima” was played in June 2022 at Wembley, where Argentina defeated Italy 3–0.
