Moldova to host European U-23 Judo Championships for first time
The European Under-23 Judo Championships will be held in the Republic of Moldova for the first time, from October 31 to November 2, at Arena Chișinău.
According to the National Olympic Committee, Moldova will be represented by 18 athletes — nine men and nine women, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
In the men’s category, the Moldovan team includes: Vladimir Iacomi (60 kg), Alexandru Moraru (66 kg), Tudor Guștiuc (66 kg), Vlad Mitru (73 kg), Renat Croitoru (73 kg), Ciprian Gribineț (81 kg), Andrei Peaticovschi (81 kg), Mihail Latîșev (90 kg), and Vadim Ghimbovschi (100 kg).
In the women’s category, Moldova will be represented by: Xenia Vainer (48 kg), Iana Prituleac (48 kg), Alexandra Chiron (52 kg), Gabriela Herța (52 kg), Tatiana Dutca (57 kg), Elizaveta Pavlenco (57 kg), Maria Rusu (63 kg), Madina Duminica (63 kg), and Tatiana Procopciuc (78 kg).
The competition will begin on October 31 at 09:30, with the final block scheduled for 16:00.
On the first day, events will include the men’s weight categories of 60 kg, 66 kg, and 73 kg, and the women’s categories of 48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, and 63 kg.
