Serbia-Albania match under tight security
The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) has announced, in a press release, the measures taken for the Serbia–Albania match, which will be played on October 11 in Leskovac, CE Report quotes ATA.
“The tickets for the match are strictly personalized, and it will not be possible to enter the stadium if the name on the ticket does not match the personal identification document. The FSS specifically warns that in several municipalities in southern Serbia there has been interest in purchasing tickets illegally, and we caution that any such purchase will result in a financial loss, as entry to the stadium will not be allowed in this manner,” the FSS stated.
“Due to the high level of security control, all lighters, metal coins, and other hard objects will be confiscated upon entry to the stadium, and security checks will take place at two separate points. Therefore, we urge all fans with valid tickets to arrive early, so they can participate in the start of the match without delay and in accordance with regulations. The safety of players, officials, fans, and all participants in the match is an absolute priority for the Football Association of Serbia and the state authorities,” it added.
The FSS emphasized that it will not allow anything that could endanger the match or cause competitive or financial damage to the national team, the Federation, or Serbia.
“All law enforcement and security authorities will respond professionally, decisively, and without delay to any attempt to cause an incident or disturb public order and peace,” the statement concluded.
