"A great day for Israel. Tomorrow I will convene the government to approve the agreement and bring all our dear hostages home. I sincerely thank President Donald Trump and his team for their commitment to this sacred mission of freeing our hostages. I thank the brave IDF soldiers and all the security forces: it is thanks to their courage and sacrifice that we have reached this day. With God's help, together we will continue to achieve all our goals and expand peace with our neighbors."

This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a statement from his office, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Meanwhile, Hamas declared: “The movement announces the achievement of an agreement that marks the end of the war in Gaza, the withdrawal of IDF forces, the entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange. This comes after responsible and serious negotiations conducted by the movement in coordination with other factions. We deeply appreciate the efforts of our mediator brothers in Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, and we also acknowledge the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump in bringing about a definitive end to the war and securing a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.”

Earlier, Donald Trump had posted on Truth Social: “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both agreed to the first phase of our peace plan. All parties will be treated fairly. This is a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, all surrounding nations, and the United States of America. We thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event possible.”
