Skopje’s Fit Fan finish debut Balkan Cup campaign

The women’s volleyball team of Fit Fan Volley from Skopje ended their debut appearance in the BVA Balkan Club Cup without a victory, after losing tonight in the third and final round in Gjilan to Herceg Novi (Montenegro) with a score of 3-0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-12).

The top scorer for the Macedonian team was captain Jakimovska, who registered seven points, CE Report quotes MIA.

Previously, Fit Fan Volley lost 3-0 to the hosts in the second round, and in the opening round, they suffered a straight-sets defeat to Greek side AEK.

Despite the three losses, the young Fit Fan Volley squad — the only Macedonian representative in this year’s Balkan Club Cup — used the matches against stronger opponents as a chance to gain valuable experience and prepare for the start of the domestic championship, which kicks off this weekend.
