Calhanoglu Set to Resume Training with Inter

Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to resume training with Inter next week, as the club are confident that their differences with Lautaro Martinez have been overcome, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Inter are confident that Calhanoglu will stay at San Siro for the 2025-26 season despite a recent disagreement with captain Lautaro Martinez and interest from Galatasaray.

Gazzetta confirms that the Turkish giants have not sent an official offer to sign the 31-year-old midfielder, who is expected to resume training at Inter's training centre on Tuesday next week, four days before the rest of the squad.

Inter will officially begin the 2025-26 pre-season on Saturday, July 26, while Calha is expected to return to Appiano on July 22.

Gazzetta reports that Galatasaray's current priority is to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli on a permanent deal. As a result, the Turkish giants made no progress in negotiations for Calhanoglu, even when vice-president Abdullah Kavukcuha met with Inter director Piero Ausilio last week.

Inter president Beppe Marotta reiterated on Tuesday that Calhanoglu was still part of Inter's plans for the new season.

"He is our player in every aspect and has been called up for the pre-season games," said Marotta.
