From today until July 13, at the "1 Tetori" gym in Pristina, the next edition of the European Esports Championship will be held, one of the biggest electronic sports events on the continent.

36 teams from 24 European countries will participate in this championship and will compete in three disciplines: CS2, CS2 Women and Dota2, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Kosovo will not only be the host of this major competition, but will also be represented with its national team in all three categories.

Acting Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Sports, Daulina Osmani, emphasized that the organization of this event is proof of commitment to young people to give them the opportunity to prove themselves to the world in electronic games, but also opens the doors for young people from around the world to come to Kosovo.

"For Kosovo, the championship is much more than a sports competition, it is concrete evidence of our vision to make Kosovo a center of innovation and sports... We have supported this organization together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, where through events like this we are investing in presenting the capacity of our young people that we have in the international arena, but at the same time we are opening the doors of our country to young people from Europe and giving them the opportunity to come and see a dynamic and innovative Kosovo," said Osmani.

This championship is organized by the Kosovo Esports Federation with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
