Kiwan Takes Silver at Astana World Cup

Bulgarian boxer Rami Kiwan won silver in the men’s 75 kg category at the World Cup in Astana, Kazakhstan. In Sunday’s final, the European champion lost to local favorite Sabirzhan Akkalykov, the reigning U22 world champion, CE Report quotes BTA

This is Kiwan’s second silver in a month, following his result in Warsaw. The Astana event was the final major tournament ahead of the World Championships in Liverpool this September.

Bulgaria leaves Astana with two medals, as Yasen Radev also claimed bronze in the 55 kg division.
